At Monarch, we want to offer you the best solution for your inventory count needs, which sometimes means a hybrid inventory approach works best. Through careful planning, communication and training, we can create a customized count process that offers the results you are looking for.
What is a Hybrid Inventory Approach?
A hybrid inventory approach combines a mixture of elements to create a personalized system for your count.
We’ll use our leadership, technology, and processes and supplement the necessary count team with members of our customer’s staff.
We incorporate our knowledgeable team and our client’s staff to create a dynamic team capable of handling complex projects.
When Would Hybrid Inventory Work Best?
If you are wondering if a hybrid approach is the best choice for your inventory count, you need to consider the size and complexity of your project.
Aspects that we consider are:
- How many items are in the warehouse
- How many counts will that require
- Target timeline for completion
We have an effective model to help us determine that count number, and if we feel that the project needs more staff, then we may offer a hybrid approach to our customers.
Benefits of a hybrid approach:
- Ability to show our clients some tricks of the trade
- Offer tips for cycle counts going forward
- Help our customers look at counts more methodically
- Provide details they need for future projects
- Works to hit budgetary targets
- Allows for more flexible scheduling
A hybrid inventory lowers the sticker shock of a count because it is a blended offering rather than our premier service.
That doesn’t mean that the quality is any less; it just means that Monarch staff will be on hand in a training capacity supported by our client’s team.
What to Expect From Us
If you choose a hybrid approach to your project, we will be on hand every step of the way to ensure a successful count.
Our staff provides leadership and guidance to your team. The staff you choose should be hand-picked, knowledgeable individuals who are reliable, efficient and cooperative in order for us to achieve the best results possible.
We understand that each project has its own challenges and complexities and our system is designed to work with our customers to create a customized approach that offers effective results.
There are two phases in a hybrid approach.
1. Planning
Once our sales team has worked with you to establish a service agreement with all the necessary details, we set up an initial planning meeting. This could be weeks or months in advance, depending on the complexity of the project. Planning is key to a successful count outcome.
In this meeting, we will discuss the necessary steps to ensure the count goes smoothly.
This includes:
- Make sure we understand the scope and goals of the project
- Getting an export file that includes the current on-hand inventory details
- Finding out how many staff members they have available for the count
- On-site training plans
- Answering questions and addressing concerns
2. On-Site Training
The next phase involves us going in a few days early to equip our client’s team with the necessary knowledge and skills.
We offer robust training that helps reduce anxiety about the upcoming count.
Staff members may feel anxious for numerous reasons like:
- Coming in for overtime
- Using unfamiliar equipment
- Being unsure of the process
We have a PowerPoint presentation and team members on hand for technical support, questions, and concerns and to explain the different functionalities of the equipment.
We can offer a dry-run count to ensure everyone is prepared and ready for the actual count.
Customizing your Count to Suit Your Project
Just because your project is large or complex doesn’t mean we can’t find a solution that works well for you.
